Operating principle
RFA is the abbreviation for X-ray fluorescence analysis.
A process in which electrons are displaced from their atomic orbits by X-rays, releasing energy that is characteristic of a particular element.
These different energies are then detected by the detector in the X-ray fluorescence analysis device (XRF device) and assigned to the elements.
Enables non-destructive composition analysis to quantify virtually any element from magnesium to uranium
Application areas
- Metal analysis
